No, we are cash-based. Due to lack of licensure, Naturopathic doctors cannot accept insurance in the state of Illinois.
-
No. Services provided through Rooted Wellness Consulting do not replace care from a licensed primary care physician or other medical provider. Naturopathic doctors are not licensed in the state of Illinois, and all services offered are educational and wellness-based in nature.
Wellness consulting is designed to complement, not replace, conventional medical care. Clients are encouraged to maintain an ongoing relationship with a licensed healthcare provider for medical diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, and preventive screenings.
-
At this time, all consultations are offered virtually. Virtual visits allow for flexible scheduling, accessibility, and continuity of care from the comfort of your own home.
-
Yes—services are offered virtually, but due to state regulations, Rooted Wellness Consulting can work only with clients located in U.S. states and territories where naturopathic doctors are not licensed or regulated.
As of the date of this posting, this generally includes:
Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
This list may change, and clients are responsible for confirming eligibility before booking.

Yes. When appropriate, certain specialty laboratory tests can be ordered through Fullscript under licensed practitioner oversight. Because this requires practitioner involvement, there is an additional $12 oversight fee added to the cost of the lab. All lab recommendations are discussed with you in advance, and testing is always optional. Please note that I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and all services provided are educational and supportive in nature and do not replace care from a licensed medical provider.

After booking, you’ll receive new client intake paperwork to complete before your appointment. Please take time to fill this out thoroughly, as it helps guide our discussion. If you have any recent or relevant laboratory tests, you’re welcome to share those ahead of time. While labs aren’t required, they can be helpful for context.
Come ready to discuss your health goals, concerns, and any questions you may have so we can make the most of our time together.

During your consultation, we will have a thoughtful, in-depth conversation about your health history, lifestyle habits, nutrition, stress, sleep, movement, and wellness goals. The visit is collaborative and educational, with plenty of space for questions and reflection.
Your initial visit focuses on understanding the full picture of your health. While some initial suggestions may be shared, most personalized guidance is provided during follow-up visits. This allows time to thoughtfully create a tailored care plan based on your goals and needs.
Follow-up consultations are where recommendations are reviewed, adjusted, and refined, offering ongoing support, education, and accountability as you move forward in your wellness journey.
